British Academy for Film and Television Award (BAFTA) mengumumkan daftar nominasi mereka pada Kamis (19/01).
Dua film favorit kritik seperti “The Banshees of Inisherin ” dan “Everything Everywhere All at Once” kembali seri karena menerima 10 nominasi. Namun, film perang asal Jerman “All Quiet on the Western Front” memimpin dengan 14 nominasi.Sementara itu ‘Elvis’ mendapatkan 9 nominasi dan ‘Tar’ mendapatkan 5 nominasi.
Dilansir dari Collider, tahun ini menjadi trend untuk banyak aktor juga aktris yang menerima nominasi pertama BAFTA mereka, tak terkecuali bintang “Everything Everywhere All at Once” Michelle Yeoh dengan nominasi aktris terbaik dan Ke Huy Quan yang mengantongi aktor pembantu terbaik. Selain keduanya, Ana De Armas dalam ‘Blonde’, Angela Bassett untuk ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’, Austin Butler pada ‘Elvis’, Colin Farrell untuk ‘The Banshees of Inisherin’, Brendan Fraser dalam ‘The Whale’, dan Paul Mescal untuk ‘Aftersun’ juga berhasil mendapatkan nominasi acara penghargaan perfilman Inggris tersebut.
Kategori sutradara terbaik pun berisikan empat sutradara penerima nominasi pertama mereka yang terdiri dari Gina Prince-Bythewood sebagai sutradara ‘The Woman King’, Todd Field untuk ‘Tár’, Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert yang juga menulis ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’, Edward Berger untuk ‘All Quiet on the Western Front’ bersamaan dengan keempatnya, Martin McDonagh pada ‘The Banshees of Inisherin’ dan Park Chan-Wook untuk ‘Decision to Leave’ juga ada di dalam nominasi tersebut.
