‘The Power of the Dog’ Raih 5 Nominasi di Vancouver

The Vancouver Film Critics Circle telah merilis daftar lengkap nominasi internasionalnya, dengan ‘The Power of the Dog’ karya Jane Campion yang memimpin ajang ini dengan lima nominasi.

Drama milik Netflix yang mendapatkan respon positif dari Venice Film Festival tersebut, menerima nominasi untuk kategori film terbaik, sutradara terbaik untuk Jane Campion, aktris pendukung terbaik untuk Kristen Dunst dan aktor pendukung terbaik untuk Kodi Smit-McPhee dan Jesse Plemons.

Nominasi film terbaik juga diperoleh film ‘CODA‘ yang disutradarai Sian Heder, begitu pula dengan ‘Belfast’ yang juga mendapatkan nominasi sutradara terbaik dan skenario terbaik untuk Kenneth Branagh. ‘The Lost Daughter‘ karya Maggie Gyllenhaal akan bersaing di kategori skenario terbaik, sementara ada juga kategori aktris terbaik yang diperebutkan oleh Olivia Colman dan kategori aktris pendukung terbaik untuk Jessie Buckley.

Bradley Cooper mendapatkan dua nominasi, satu sebagai aktor terbaik untuk ‘Nightmare Alley‘ dan satu lagi sebagai aktor pendukung terbaik untuk ‘Licorice Pizza‘.

Pemenang penghargaan Vancouver Film Critics Circle untuk nominasi internasional akan diumumkan saat upacara penghargaan VFCC, yaitu pada 7 Maret.
