Kali ini, ‘Dune’, ‘CODA’, hingga ‘Drive My Car’ sukses memenangkan penghargaan di Academy Awards 2022!
Meski kemeriahan Academy Awards kali ini tidak disambut meriah oleh banyak orang. Namun, euphoria masih tetap terasa bagi para penggemar film-film yang masuk ke dalam nominasi.
Sementara ‘The Power of the Dog’ memimpin nominasi dengan 12 kategori, film tersebut hanya mendapatkan penghargaan untuk kategori Best Director. Adapun ‘Dune’ keluar sebagai film dengan piala terbanyak di tahun ini.
Seperti yang sudah diprediksi banyak pecinta film, Will Smith berhasil memenangkan Oscar pertamanya dalam kategori Best Actor sebagai Richard Williams di ‘King Richard’. Sementara itu, Jessica Chastain juga memenangkan piala pertamanya dalam kategori Best Actres di film ‘The Eyes of Tammy Faye’.
Tidak disangka, ‘CODA’ berhasil keluar sebagai pemenang utama di kategori Best Picture, sebuah penghargaan yang memang pantas didapatkan.
Dibawakan oleh Amy Schumer, Regina Hall, dan Wanda Sykes sebagai pembawa acara, Academy Awards pagi ini juga menampilkan empat dari lima nominasi lagu terbaik, termasuk Be Alive oleh Beyoncé, Billie Eilish dan Finneas membawakan No Time to Die, Reba McEntire menyanyikan Somehow You Do, dan penampilan pertama kalinya para pemeran ‘Encanto’ menyanyikan We Don’t Talk About Bruno.
