Nominasi untuk Penghargaan Film Akademi Inggris 2020 (atau kita kenal sebagai BAFTA), akan diumumkan Selasa 7 Januari 2020 hanya beberapa jam sebelum pemungutan suara nominasi Oscar berakhir. Ajang internasional terbaik di Inggris ini akan diberikan pada tanggal 2 Februari 2020 di Royal Albert Hall, London. Tanggal yang sebenarnya termasuk mepet dengan deadline anggota akademi untuk memberikan suara mereka di Academy Awards yang ke-92 atau ajang Piala Oscar yang akan berlangsung pada Minggu, 9 Februari 2020.
“Joker” masih merajai nominasi ajang ini dengan 11 nominasi, sementara “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” dan “The Irishman” berada di urutan kedua dengan masing-masing 10 nominasi. “1917” mendapatkan 9 nominasi, “Jojo Rabbit” mendapat 6 nominasi sedangkan “Marriage Story,” “The Two Popes,” dan “Little Women” masing-masing menerima 5 nominasi.
“Parasite,” “Rocketman,” and “For Sama” masing-masing mendapatkan 4 nominasi. Tiga film lainnya “Bombshell,” “Judy,” dan “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” mendapatkan 3 nominasi.
