Ajang bergengsi Screen Actors Guild Awards 2022 kembali diadakan dengan sejumlah aktor dan aktris papan atas berdatangan melewati karpet merah.
Minggu malam kemarin, Screen Actors Guild Awards tahunan ke-28 disiarkan secara langsung di Barker Hangar, Santa Monica. Ajang tersebut telah mengumumkan daftar para pemenang dalam 15 kategori, meliputi film dan serial TV.
‘CODA’ berhasil membawa pulang penghargaan untuk kategori best film ensemble, menjadi film pertama dengan pemeran utama tunarungu yang menerima penghargaan tersebut. Sebelumnya, ‘CODA’ juga mencetak kemenangan bersejarah lainnya dengan Troy Kotsur menjadi aktor tunarungu pertama yang mendapatkan nominasi sekaligus membawa pulang piala penghargaan dalam kategori best supporting actor.
Sementara itu, Will Smith juga berhasil mendapatkan piala setelah pengumuman Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role. Demikian juga, Jessica Chastain memenangkan kategori Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role untuk perannya dalam ‘The Eyes of Tammy Faye.’ Keduanya merasa terharu dan bangga akan prestasi yang berhasil mereka raih untuk perannya dalam masing-masing film.
Ariana DeBose memenangkan penghargaan dalam kategori Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role untuk film ‘West Side Story.’
Untuk kategori serial TV, Jason Sudeikis memenangkan Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series dan Jean Smart memenangkan Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series untuk peran mereka dalam serial komedi ‘Ted Lasso’ dan ‘Hacks.’ ‘Ted Lasso’ juga membawa pulang kemenangan untuk Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. ‘Succession’, yang tidak memenuhi syarat untuk Emmy pada bulan September lalu, akhirnya memenangkan penghargaan untuk Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.
